Hi Jenn

I put your Jan 15/11 pics up against these newest pics. Wow, wow, wow and hot hot hot.

You have made tremendous changes and your body is looking as sleek and sexy. Your husband is one luck guy.

All I can say is continue your journey and successes.

Looking great! I have been half-ass doing LeanGains. Following the diet but was doing a crazy mixture of MMA and conditioning stuff. I've decided that since we are going to Hawaii at the end of November for our anniversary that I want to stop screwing around and get lean for a bikini. I have decided to stop the HIIT stuff and go back to the Big Three exercises and lift heavy and only do 3 days per week. I am not getting enough protein so I need to bump that up.

What are some strategies for doing chinups? I can't do a single one unassisted.

Which ON casein flavor are you using?

Thanks for finally having an LG blog for women.

I started with assisted Chins and Negatives and just kept at it - but i only train them once per week.

ON Casein, Chocolate Supreme. I also just got one of the vanillas, but haven't tried it yet. Experimenting with Trutein also - mixed protein that's 40% whey, 40% casein, 20% egg protein.

Good Luck!

TrailGirl, I am in the same boat with chinups. bought a Chinup assistance band from lifeline. You can adjust how much it helps you, and after a week and a half, I'm already thinking about reducing the assistance. It got it on Amazon.com.

Optimal Fasting Times for Female Fat Loss - A discussion.

How long should I fast? This is probably the most common question I see among women new to Intermittent Fasting. Unfortunately there is no hard-and-fast definitive answer to this question. We all react to stress differently. Yes, I said stress. Fasting is a stressor to the body - especially the female body. Like money worries, relationship drama, and exercise, fasting will cause the body various levels of stress which can, and often will, result in negative consequences regarding our health. I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing most of you have jobs and financial responsibilities, relationships, some of you have children or are care takers of family members. You probably rarely get eight hours of sleep and, let's face it, who has time to meditate daily when living in the real world? All of these things are life's stressors. Now, add lack of sleep, job and family/relationship stress to a boiling pot of intense daily e...

Saying Bye Bye to my Fat Clothes...

Here is just a sampling of what I am sure will be a towering pile of fat clothes I will never again need in my life. Pictured here: 2 pair of jeans 1 pair cropped khakis 2 pair khaki sorts 1 pair camo cargo shorts 1 T-shirt 1 Columbia undershirt 1 pair gray slacks If you want to know why they're in the donation pile, check out the photos below. I've never been so happy to do spring cleaning. Only problem is I'm pretty thin on clothes that fit and I don't want to buy much yet as I'm nowhere near as lean as I'm hoping to get...ah, the trials and tribulations of Leangains . Damn you, Martin! :) ...

Lift Like a Girl - You just might like it

After I sent Martin ( Leangains.com ) my chinup vids so he can post them, he asked me about my routine so he could offer some background to the videos. He felt it may help give some direction to other IFing women out there; and I hope it does. I think he's going to post this sometime soon as well, but I wanted to archive it on my own blog. I created this routine from bits and pieces found scattered like confetti across his blog. I know everyone is slightly different and has different goals, so this routine may not be for you. I also know that, after two months of this, I'm stronger than ever before, but will likely have to find a way to shake things up a bit to keep things moving...but I'm not sure how to proceed. In case you rush through the routine without reading the fine print, I generally rest from 3 to 5 minutes between every set. Since I'm only doing 2-3 types of exercises at 3-4 sets each, I'm in and out of the gym in under an hour. Oh, and I only workout 3 ...
