I used to weigh over 145lbs at 5'2" and now I am down to around 114lbs. Despite losing the weight, I still can't wear a bikini because I am "skinny-fat." I have decided that IF and lifting heavy is the only way to get me to where I want to be.

Totally supporting your fitness journey, it is so nice to know there are other women out there following this approach!!Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17824700017994979794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7440122624836762288.post-18371833477070151212011-03-30T20:40:09.616-04:002011-03-30T20:40:09.616-04:00Jen, I feel so stupid. I looked it up and sure enough I was wrong! I think I might be able to do weighted chin ups. Yeah! I'm going to try on Friday.Lisa@The Nourishing Homemakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10964021443104385646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7440122624836762288.post-6161056715357646742011-03-25T18:36:09.059-04:002011-03-25T18:36:09.059-04:00Damn, girl! I could be wrong, but from the videos, it looks to me that you're not going down to a fully stretched position between sets. I find that this helps me hit my lats more when I deadhang between sets. I can "feel" my lats engage better from the bottom position. Otherwise I feel like it's more arms.DShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05259636901836744002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7440122624836762288.post-75924363960761242852011-03-23T11:30:17.105-04:002011-03-23T11:30:17.105-04:00will do. thx for the tip. :)will do. thx for the tip. :)Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07783765683555054629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7440122624836762288.post-66074487034796607562011-03-22T23:43:55.821-04:002011-03-22T23:43:55.821-04:00Well keep at it and take the lower weighted sets a...Well keep at it and take the lower weighted sets at slower reps. Ease your way up and down to make sure you include each muscle in every rep. It may be crucial at first, but you will feel the "gains" after a week or two!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7440122624836762288.post-1473510503224984522011-03-22T22:09:38.985-04:002011-03-22T22:09:38.985-04:00I know...as of late last year, I could barely do o...I know...as of late last year, I could barely do one chin up. I'm sure it doesn't hurt that I lost 12 lbs, but I'm so much stronger than I used to be. No way am I quitting now. I want to crank out reps with that big 35 hanging from my waist by the end of the summer!Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07783765683555054629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7440122624836762288.post-80075616905692166402011-03-22T21:32:18.412-04:002011-03-22T21:32:18.412-04:00Awesome job! Now I can do 5 at 35 lbs after 3 sets.
